COMING SOON UNIT COLLAGE

THIS ASSIGNMENT IS TO BE DONE THE DAY AFTER UNIT ONE IS DONE.  IN ORDER TO DO  THIS SHOULD BE WORKED ON AS THE UNIT IS PRESENTED.

As part of your unit test grade you will make a picture colleague or power point presentation that will show that you understand the concepts of this unit.  The pictures can be taken from other sources  such as magazines, drawn or both.  With each picture there will be a short explanation placed with the picture(make it clear which explanation is with which picture) explaining why or how the picture demonstrates the concept(Normally a definition needs to be part of your explanation.).    The colleague  or power point will be graded on neatness as well as presenting a clear picture and an explanation that demonstrate clearly your understanding of the concept..  You can begin the colleague at anytime but the colleague will need to be completed the one week after the unit is completed.  The following pictures with the corresponding explanations need to be on the your project:

  1. Show kinetic, potential, and radiant energy  and define it.
  2. Show what energy is and  define it.
  3. Show the law of conservation of energy.  Tell who gave us this law and define it in  your explanation.
  4. Show an example of matter and explain why it is matter by definition in your explanation.
  5. Show examples of the three forms (elements, compounds and mixture) of matter and two types of mixtures (homogeneous and heterogeneous) as one of those forms of matter.  Include definitions of each form in your explanation
  6. Using symbols and formulas as given in class label  each as symbol, formula, atoms or molecules as well as elements and compounds.     Use(   O      O2      H2O )    and label each as symbol or formula and atom or molecule
  7. Show examples of the four states of matter.  With your picture explain the different molecular organization of each state and how the shape and volume relates to each state.
  8. Show examples of sublimation, evaporation and condensation.  Use a definition of each in your explanation.
  9. Show the law of conservation of matter.  Tell who gave us this law and give a definition in your explanation.
  10.  Show chemical and physical change.  Define each in in your explanation and talk about how you recognize a physical or chemical change and give the three different types of physical change.
