  • The student will understand they must define the task they are to achieve so they can focus on the assignment given without wandering aimlessly.
  • The student will understand that in order to complete their research they must identify, evaluate, and select the best resources, including specific information within these resources.
  • The student will understand that ethically and legally the creator of a resource controls the rights of those resources and that they must give credit when using them.
  • The student will understand that by creating a plan to organize their various resources they are able to synthesize and present the desired information in a variety of possible formats.
  • The student will understand that the research skills learned for one assignment can be transferred to other assignments.
